About
Siobhan's journey into digital photography started during her fine art studies at NCAD Dublin. What began as technical exploration quickly became something deeper — a passion for democratising visual storytelling through accessible technology. She's spent the last 12 years watching smartphones evolve from novelty cameras into genuine creative tools. And she's made it her mission to help people master them.
Her breakthrough moment came in 2015 when she developed the "Mobile First" curriculum. It's now used by five community arts centres across Kilkenny, Wexford, and Dublin. The core idea? Stop teaching people to work around smartphone limitations. Start teaching them to work with their actual device's strengths. Composition rules don't change because you're holding a phone instead of a DSLR. Neither does good lighting or thoughtful framing.
Over 200 workshops at the Gallery of Photography Dublin later, Siobhan's established herself as someone who gets it. She understands the gap between professional photography principles and practical smartphone application. She knows the exact moment when a beginner's confidence clicks — when they realise their phone's camera app isn't dumbed-down, it's just different. And she's genuinely excited to help you get there.
