Terms of Service
Last updated: May 4, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of freesay and its services. By accessing our website, courses, guides, and workshops related to digital photography basics, smartphone camera settings, and mobile videography, you agree to be bound by these terms. We provide educational content and information about photography techniques, composition rules, and video production across our platforms, including resources at Gallery of Photography Dublin, Kilkenny, and Wexford community arts centres. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree to any provision, you must discontinue use immediately. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your ongoing use signifies acceptance of updated terms.
2. User Obligations and Responsibilities
Users agree to use our educational resources, photography guides, and videography courses in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit any content without explicit permission. When participating in workshops or accessing our materials on smartphone camera settings and composition techniques, you assume responsibility for your own learning outcomes. We expect respectful conduct during all community sessions in Kilkenny, Wexford, and Dublin locations. You must not engage in harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behaviour. Users acknowledge that photography and videography involve technical equipment and outdoor settings, and participate at their own risk. We are not responsible for personal injuries, equipment damage, or other losses incurred during course participation or independent practice using our guides and tutorials.
3. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on our platform—including photography tutorials, mobile videography guides, smartphone camera settings documentation, and composition rule materials—is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. We retain ownership of all original instructional content, images, videos, and written materials. Users may view and use content for personal, non-commercial educational purposes only. Commercial use, adaptation, or redistribution is strictly prohibited. Workshops conducted at Gallery of Photography Dublin and our Kilkenny and Wexford community arts centres may include proprietary techniques and methodologies that remain our intellectual property. Any photographs or videos created during our courses remain the creator's property, but we may request permission to feature outstanding work in promotional materials or case studies with proper attribution.
4. Limitation of Liability
We provide educational content and courses on an "as-is" basis without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for particular purposes. Our guides on digital photography basics and mobile videography are intended for educational use and may not guarantee professional results. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, courses, or content. This includes loss of data, business interruption, or failed learning outcomes. Participants in workshops at Dublin, Kilkenny, and Wexford locations acknowledge that outdoor photography and videography involve inherent risks. We limit our total liability to the amount paid for services. Some jurisdictions do not allow liability limitations, so this clause may not apply to all users. We encourage responsible use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines during all practical sessions.
5. Termination of Services
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to our courses, guides, and community workshops at any time for violations of these terms or conduct we deem harmful. Termination may occur without notice if users engage in illegal activity, intellectual property violations, or abusive behaviour toward instructors or fellow participants. Course access may be revoked if payment is not received or disputes arise. Users who have registered for workshops at Gallery of Photography Dublin, Kilkenny, or Wexford locations may request cancellation within specified timeframes subject to our refund policy. Upon termination, your right to access materials and participate in sessions ceases immediately. Outstanding obligations remain enforceable. We are not responsible for any loss of access to downloaded materials or incomplete coursework following termination. Reinstatement is at our sole discretion.
6. General Provisions
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding our educational services. If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining terms continue in effect. We may assign our rights under these terms without notification. Your inability to exercise any right does not constitute waiver of that right. We are not liable for delays or failures in performance caused by circumstances beyond our control. These terms are governed by Irish law. Disputes arising from our photography courses, videography guides, or workshop participation shall be resolved through informal negotiation or mediation before legal proceedings. By using our services and participating in our community learning initiatives, you consent to these terms and acknowledge understanding of your rights and responsibilities as a learner.
